Sheffield United beat Leeds United to £3.5m star as QPR have £2.5m bid for Wales striker accepted - Championship transfer news

Here are the latest transfer stories and rumours in the Championship on Monday, July 20.

QPR bid for Moore

Queens Park Rangers have seen a £2.5 million bid for Wales striker Kieffer Moore accepted by Wigan Athletic.

The 27-year-old moved to the DW Stadium from Barnsley for that same fee last summer.

Having scored nine goals this season, QPR have seen their bid accepted by cash-strapped Wigan, according to Wigan Today.

Moore was the subject of an unsuccessful bid of around £2million in January from Cardiff City, whilst Preston North End have also been credited with an interest.

Blades tie-up Swift deal

Reading midfielder John Swift is on the verge of completing a move to Premier League side Sheffield United.

BerkshireLive report the 25-year-old is putting the finishing touches to a transfer for an initial fee of £3.5m.

Leeds United had also been keen on the player but it is the Blades who are set to win the race for the highly-rated former England U21 international.

The playmaker has scored 21 goals in his time with Royals, having been signed by Jaap Stam in 2016.

Stoke chase Norwich ace

Stoke City are keen to sign Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis.

The two clubs will both play in the Championship next season after the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League, with Stoke preserved their Championship status.

Belfast Telegraph report that the Potters could be ready to launch a £10million offer for one of Norwich's prized assets.

Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Leicester City, have also been linked with Lewis.
