Sheffield United ace delivers eight-word truth that will really hurt Arsenal fans

Arsenal suffered at the hands of Sheffield United on Monday night.

And midfielder John Fleck has delivered another hammer blow, this time with his words.

Fleck was at the heart of everything on Monday night as the Blades ran out 1-0 winners over Unai Emery's men at Bramall Lane.

Arsenal had the opportunity to go third in the table, but could not break down the Blades, only managing three shots on target in the entire game.

It was a bad day at the office and left a number of Gunners supporters scratching their heads after what had been a good run of form leading up to that match.

The warning signs were there for all to see, however, with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth prior to the international break coming despite just two shots on target in the entire match.

On the pitch it was tough to take, and Arsenal fans will find what Fleck has said after the game possibly even harder to take.

Sheffield United 1-0 Arsenal: Unai Emery post-match press conference

The Scotland international had a sly dig at Arsenal with a look ahead to the coming fixtures, which include West Ham, Tottenham and Manchester United.

He said: "We’ve done well so far but we know there are tougher games to come."

The "tougher games to come" comment will hit Arsenal where it hurts, leaving the fans to question once more just where they are heading under Emery.

Fleck added: "We move on to a difficult game against West Ham. For us it’s just the same every week. There will still be difficult moments this season but against Arsenal we got our rewards.

"The problem with the last few games at home is we have played well and got nothing from the games so it was important that we got a big victory and we have done that."
