Sheepwalk Road Lisburn closed after "very serious accident"

A road in Co Antrim has been closed after a "very serious accident" on Sunday evening.

The Sheepwalk Road, Lisburn, is closed at the junction of Mullaghglass Road and Stoneyford Road.

DUP Councillor James Tinsley said that there was a "very serious accident at the junction of the Sheepwalk Roadd and the Whitemountain Road".

He added: "The roads will be closed for a while.

"[My] thoughts are with the families involved and especially the emergency services who were in attendance."

A PSNI spokesman said: "Please seek an alternative route if possible."
