Sheep badly injured in dog attack on Scots croft sparking police appeal

Police are seeking witnesses after two sheep were badly injured in an attack by a dog in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officers say the sheep worrying incident took place at around 3pm on Saturday December 4 at Common Croft, Portpatrick.

They are now seeking information about the Husky/Akita type dog that was involved in the attack.

A police spokesperson said: "We are seeking witnesses after two sheep were badly injured following an attack by a Husky/Akiti [sic] type dog.

"If you saw or heard anything suspicious or have any information regarding this incident, please call 101 quoting incident 2237 of the 4 December 2021."
