Following another tough loss for Colorado, highlighted by a decision to change the offensive play-caller that didn't work out quite as planned, Deion Sanders’s squad fell below .500, sitting at 4-5 on the year.
The 26-19 result against Oregon State brought criticism from many, as Sanders removed play-calling duties from Sean Lewis, opting to hand that task over to offensive quality control coach Pat Shurmur. Considering the Buffaloes averaged 32.1 points per game prior to Saturday night, the move was certainly surprising.
After the game, quarterback Shedeur Sanders was asked if the decision were up to him, who he'd prefer to have as the play-caller. Sanders saw how horribly answering that question could play out, so he opted to avoid it while providing a pointed response to the reporter.
"I mean at that point, you're just asking me a setup question. You just want just a headline question — I'm not even gonna answer that honestly, I can't even answer that," Sanders said, per FOX College Football.

Colorado had a brutal night offensively, totaling just 238 yards offensively vs. 418 for Oregon State. They also had negative seven net rushing yards (running backs totaled 11 carries for 31 yards) and converted just 3-of-14 third down attempts.
