Shed 'with cylinders inside' sets on fire near houses in Bristol

A shed containing gas cylinders has gone up in flames next to houses in Lawrence Weston.

Fire crews were called to a fire in an outbuilding on Barrowmead Drive at around 5.40pm today (Saturday, February 5).

Avon Fire and Rescue has confirmed no one was inside the shed when it caught fire.

The fire service says the building was "well alight" when crews from Avonmouth and Temple arrived.

No one was hurt as a result of the blaze, the cause of which was accidental ignition.

Avon Fire and Rescue say crews had been at the scene "for so long" as two cylinders were involved.

The fire has been extinguished as of 7.10pm.
