Shea Patterson hilariously cast as best graded QB in Big Ten by Pro Football Focus

And right here my friends is how you lose all credibility.

Somehow, someway, Pro Football Focus has graded out all the Big Ten quarterbacks for the 2018 season, and — drum roll … your No. 1 graded out QB is none other than Shea Patterson of Michigan.

Wha, wha, wha …

Look, Patterson was fine and all for Michigan — especially after what we saw from the venerable gunslingers that were under center in 2017, but I think  anyone who watched Haskins and Patterson that has any kind of football mind, would have a hard time believing that the one wearing maize and blue could possibly be graded out higher than one of the all-time best quarterbacks to ever play in the Big Ten.

We have to ask what goes into these grades at this point don’t we. There’s literally no significant positive state that Patterson has over Haskins. Not completions, not completion percentage. Not touchdowns or TD/INT ratio, nor passing yards, and not QB rating.

The only thing we can think is that maybe Stephen A. Smith has somehow got a hold of the grading scale of PFF College and somehow skewed the numbers.

Look, these things are fun to look at, but if you ever had any doubt about the realistic gauge of them, it has now been answered. You might want to change your data points there fellas.
