Drag queen Shea Couleé has unveiled a hidden meaning behind her killer RuPaul's Drag Race look.
The runner-up of RuPaul's Drag Race season 9, real name Jaren Kyei Merrell, has returned for the new All Stars 5 series.
The opening episodes have already seen the fan-favourite from Chicago make her mark, especially with a killer glitzy skin-tight bodysuit.
However, now Shea has explained the deeper meaning behind the fierce look she brought to the runway.
Sharing some photo art in the style of Sandro Botticelli’s 'Birth of Venus' featuring members of her drag family, Shea emerges from the shell at its centre.
Shea revealed on Instagram in the caption: "'Love the Skin You’re In' is a concept that took a long time for me to come to terms with.
"I’ve been told that I’m too dark, too nappy, too femme to be considered beautiful.
"That’s why I wanted to fully embrace black beauty in this runway presentation.
"I also wanted to focus on my roots. I hope you like this recreation of Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus’ but BLACK.

Naturally, the killer look from Shea went down a treat with fans on social media, with many flooding Shea's Instagram replies with adoration.
