'She was our rock... it's so hard to carry on': Daughter's heartbreaking tribute to mum whose death sparked murder investigation

The daughter of a woman whose death sparked a murder investigation has told how she misses her 'so much' and described her as the 'best mum and nana ever'.

Debbie Twist, 47, was found dead by police at a house on Manchester Road, in Leigh, on Sunday, March 17.

The mum-of-three and grandmother-of-three suffered fatal stab wounds.

Her daughter Hayley Louise has now paid a heartbreaking tribute to her on the crowdfunding website GoFundMe after launching an appeal to help pay for funeral costs.

Hayley wrote: "Sunday, March 17 was the worst day of mine and my family's lifes.

"My mum Debbie Twist was murdered. My mum was the best mum and nana ever.

"She loved her children and grandchildren so much. She was the most caring woman anyone could have met and she meant the world to me and my family.

"She did everything she could for us all. She was the rock of our family and it is so hard to carry on without her.

"We miss our mum so much and just wish she could walk through the door but we know that she won't.

"My mum was an amazing women and me and my family want her to have the most amazing send off and be able to have the most amazing last journey with us all."

The appeal, which was launched last night, has a target of £4,000.

As the Manchester Evening News has reported a 39-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Debbie's death, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police also arrested a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender who was bailed pending further enquiries.

A 25-year-old man also suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital. He has since been released and is recovering at home.
