‘SHE’S SIXTEEN’: Woman tells man to leave her teen sister alone. Then other men intervene. But not in the way you think

A TikTok user has gone viral after sharing a clip of her confronting a man at a bar. The clip amassed 1.2 million views. In it, Izzy (@izzybigbelly) can be seen yelling “She’s sixteen” as the man continues to hurl expletives at her.

As things escalate, men can be seen intervening and getting between the pair. However, some appeared to help the man and not the woman. The man ended up walking away as another man shook his head and gently guided him in the other direction.

What happened at the bar?

The exchange sparked a lot of discussion in the comments, with one commenter saying: “‘SHES SIXTEEN’ should’ve been the end.”

Another remarked that “dudes old enough that he shouldn’t have been hitting on anyone even close to 16.”

Elsewhere, commenters were furious at the men in the video for not doing more to help sooner. “You notice that the men don’t immediately try to stop him, they try to stop her,” one notes. “Never forget men will always protect each other.”

“Why did it take 7-10 business days for another man to step in?” another asked. A third echoed: “Wait all those men there and they weren’t disgusted that a grown man was hitting on a child? It took you having to defend her with all those people there? damn girl I would have stood beside you!”

What else should we know?

The clip initially went viral with Bawitdaba by Kid Cudi playing in the background, and was accompanied by the following caption: “What plays in my head as I’m about to go toe to toe with a grown man because he hit on my 17-year-old sister in front of me.”

In a follow-up video, Izzy responded to commenters who questioned why her younger sister was in a bar in the first place. “She is allowed to be with her mother and her sister and the rest of the bridal party and eat lunch with them at a bar/restraunt with out being in fear of being harassed by a [expeltive] gross old man,” she said.

In a further video, she also called out a second user who made a similar comment, where she remarked, “I hope to God you don’t have daughters.”

Izzy didn’t immediately respond to the Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment.
