'She's my hero' Girl, 7, saves mum's life after learning CPR on YouTube

A girl of seven performed emergency CPR on her mum – which she learned from YouTube videos.

Jessica Kinder was watching The Grinch when she saw her mum Becky Green, 32, have a seizure and collapse to the ground.

She threw a glass of water in her mum’s face to “try and wake her up” before she straddled her and administered CPR.

Jessica then tried to unlock her mum’s phone before realising she did not need a password or fingerprint to ring 999.

Becky, an admin worker for the NHS, said: “When I woke up the paramedics were here and my little girl was hysterical.

"I’m so proud, I can’t believe how heroically she acted. It must have been so stressful but she stepped up and tried to save me.

“For a seven-year-old to do that is incredible – she’s my hero. I’ve got her something extra special for Christmas.”

After being taken to hospital in Preston, Lancs, Becky found out she has epilepsy.

Becky, who also has 10-year-old son Grant, said: “I asked, ‘How did you know what to do?’

“She said, ‘Oh I saw someone do it on YouTube.’ I couldn’t believe it.”

Following the incident last month the schoolgirl has been given a bravery award and now wants to be a doctor or nurse.
