A doll depicting tennis player Naomi Osaka in samurai warrior armor, left, is on display at traditional Japanese doll maker Kyugetsu's shop in Taito Ward, Tokyo, on Thursday ahead of the Boys' Festival on May 5. Osaka, an Australian Open champion, is the first "princess general" doll. As expectation is rising for an announcement of the new era's name by the government on Monday, dolls depicting Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, right, and Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga, center, are also on show.
