As we count down until Newcastle's A-League Women's season kicks off against Sydney at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on December 4, the Newcastle Herald has gone one-on-one with the Jets to find out more about each footballer.
Cassidy Davis bleeds red, blue and gold. The 27-year-old has played a league record 97 consecutive games since making her debut in the 2013-14 season, all for her home-town club.
After years of being used in the backline, Davis was moved into her preferred midfield position last year and coach Ash Wilson says the Jets co-captain brings "stability and a strong work ethic" to the centre of the park.
NH: What was your first club, and how old were you?
CD: Warners Bay and I was 12.
NH: What do you do off the field?
CD: I work in the Jets community department as a community liaison officer. I'm also in my last year of studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary). I like to try to relax when I'm not working or studying or playing or training. Go to the beach, sunbake, shop, go out for coffee, hang out with family and friends.
NH: What TV series are you addicted to?
CD: I'm really not a TV person. I don't really have much time. I watched a bit of Wentworth and I was a bit addicted to Outer Banks. If I put the TV on before bed, it's more likely some football.
NH: What can't you live without?
CD: Family. And chocolate.
NH: What music is playing on game day?
CD: Normally, just whatever is on the team playlist. I don't really have anything in particular. I like to listen to songs that I know the words, so I can sing. On the bus, [Hannah] Brewer and I always sit next to each other and we always listen to old school music.
NH: Do you have any pre-match habits?
CD: I warm up in my nose ring and then take it out after the warm-up.
