As we count down until Newcastle's A-League Women's season kicks off against Sydney at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, the Newcastle Herald has gone one-on-one with the Jets to find out more about each footballer.
Jemma House honed her football skills in the United States college system and earned her first national league contract with the Newcastle Jets last season.
The opportunity came after leading Newcastle Olympic to the Herald Women's Premier League premiership-championship double with a truckload of goals.
The Hunter Valley product showed enough in her debut campaign to have Jets coach Ash Wilson offering the 25-year-old forward another contract.
House "grabbed it with two hands".
"My goals are around just working hard again and trying to get into that starting 11," House told the Newcastle Herald.
Wilson believes "the sky's the limit for Jem".
"Jem is so dynamic and has an eye for goal," Wilson said. "She's so agile. She adds a couple of different elements to what we can do in terms of being able to get in behind, being able to get the ball to feet, link up with people. I can see her continuing to push for those regular starting spots."
