Are you worthy?

In the new DC Comics superhero film Shazam!, a troubled foster child named Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is deemed pure of heart enough to receive the powers of an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou) and become the Champion of Eternity known as Shazam (Zachary Levi).

With his newly bestowed super-powers and with super-fan and foster brother Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Glazer) by his side, he proceeds to enjoy his newfound fame and glory, until he comes under threat from the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

As Sivana threatens all that Billy holds dear, Shazam is forced to face up to his flaws in a fight to protect his new family.

Can Billy take on the villain?

But if you are wondering what happens once the credits roll, read on.

*Warning: Spoiler alert for Shazam!*

Shazam! end credits scenes explained

(Sunday Mirror)

The first scene occurs as a mid credits scene.

After being defeated, Sivana is in his cell, maniacally scratching symbols from the Rock of Eternity into the walls.

The villain is interrupted, however, by a small alien-looking worm, who proceeds to tell Sivana of the "pillars of evil" who will soon come together with them against their enemies.

The worm is the comic book character known as Mister Mind, who in the comics leads the Monster Society of Evil.

Mister Mind is seen earlier in the Rock of Eternity, meaning he has escaped.

In the comics, Mister Mind has the power of advanced mind control and hypnosis.

The post credits scene is much funnier.

Freddy tests whether Billy can talk to fish.

Seemingly serious to start, Billy then proceeds to laugh off the suggestion.

Shazam! is in cinemas now.
