Shayne Ward praises his fiancee for her hard work in the gym - and melts hearts with his 'cute' words

Former Coronation Street star Shayne has praised his 'fit momma' fiancee Sophie Austin for her hard work in the gym.

Shayne, who played tragic Aidan Connor in Corrie, has spoken of his pride in his partner after she attended the Twinkle Ball hosted by Paddy and Christine McGuinness at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.

The actor from Clayton posted a photo of his bride-to-be on Instagram and made hearts melt with his  words of encouragement.

"I cannot begin to tell you just how proud I am of you. Six weeks into your training @up_north_pt fitness and you look incredible. I’ve never seen anyone work harder."

And Shayne sparked speculation that Sophie is working out ahead of their wedding by saying: "Six more weeks to go my Angel. Keep smashing it #fitmomma #luckydaddy."

Shayne and Sophie, who played killer nurse Lindsey Butterfield in the Channel Four show Hollyoaks, welcomed their daughter Willow in December 2016 and the couple got engaged on Boxing Day 2017.

"It's so refreshing to see a man being so supportive towards his partner and being her biggest fan. You're both very lucky to have one another," said one follower.

"Love how supportive you both are of each other" said another fan.

"What’s happening in 6 weeks. Is I wedding bells. I can hear," commented a third.

"So cute," said another.

Shayne Ward is almost unrecognisable and Tanya Bardsley sparkles in silver at Paddy and Christine McGuinness' Twinkle Ball

Shayne, who joined Corrie in 2015, won a flood of praise last year for harrowing scenes as his character Aidan took his own life in a storyline aimed at raising awareness of male suicide.
