From Lizzo to the Jonas Brothers, this year’s Video Music Awards saw a whole host of stars take to the stage in front of thousands.
But the performance that had everyone a little over-excited came courtesy of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, who collectively sent pulses racing with their raunchy rendition of Senorita.
The showbiz couple sent fans into a frenzy as they performed some sexy choreography – and came very close to an on-stage kiss.
But Camila, 22, pulled away from Shawn, 21, at the last minute.
Suffice to say, fans were left feeling disappointed.
Taylor Swift, who was watching from the audience, looked visibly shocked as the couple came close to kissing.
Even Joe Jonas, who was in the crowd with wife Sophie Turner, reacted to the anti-climactic performance on Instagram, writing: “VMAs are over, but we’re still waiting for that kiss tho @camila_cabello @shawnmendes.”
Long-time collaborators Shawn and Camila have never confirmed their romance publicly, despite it being blatantly obvious to pretty much everyone.
Shawn, 21, once called the ‘Havana’ singer his “favourite person in the whole world” and the couple are often pictured out together.
The pair topped off their night by scooping the prize for best collaboration for Senorita.
Other big winners of the night included Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish.
