Shaun Watson: Concern grows for missing West Lothian man as police re-appeal for help

Concern is growing for a missing man who was last seen in Broxburn, West Lothian on Monday 3 August.

Police Scotland have re-issued an appeal to the public for help tracing the man whose friends and family are "extremely worried" for his welfare.

Shaun was last seen on Church Street, Broxburn, between 10am and 11am on Monday morning (3 August).

Potential sightings of Shaun have been noted in the Eyemouth and Berwick Upon Tweed areas.

He is described as white, between 5' 8" and 5' 10" in height, with a medium build and dark hair, which may have been dyed a different colour.

Police said when last seen, he was wearing cream coloured shorts, a white t-shirt, a black body warmer and cream or white training shoes. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Officers are said to be continuing to check CCTV footage and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant David Rourke of Galashiels Police Station, said: “It has been nearly a fortnight since Shaun was reported missing and his family and friends are extremely worried about him.

"They are asking him to please get in touch with someone to let them know he is ok.

“He sometimes speaks in an American accent and uses different names and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen Shaun, or who knows of his whereabouts, to come forward.

“Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0996 of 4 August, 2020.”
