Shaun Ryder is coming to tell a Leeds crowd his wildest stories

Happy Mondays frontman and 'Madchester' legend Shaun Ryder is coming to Leeds to share some of his wildest stories.

The Happy Mondays is famous for his outrageous partying days, and Ryder will be in West Yorkshire to tell a big crowd about his eventful life and career.

The Mancunian maverick will visit Leeds City Varieties on Tuesday, October 29, with a small meet & greet session also planned for the evening.

The event website also promises 'special guests', and says: "The charismatic frontman from Happy Mondays and Black Grape shares stories from the halcyon days of the “Madchester” / “Baggy” era, The Hacienda club and Factory Records."

Ryder is already due in Leeds with his other musical project Black Grape for a gig at Millennium Square on August 2.

Both he and former Happy Mondays bandmate 'Bez' have been on TV screens recently as they teamed up for Celebrity Gogglebox on Channel 4.

Happy Mondays play at Leeds O2 Academy in December, so there are plenty of opportunities to catch Ryder and the gang this year.
