Rotherham have bid £200,000 for St Johnstone ’s double cup-winning goal hero Shaun Rooney.
The Millers are keen to land the right-back, who scored both Hampden goals as Saints lifted the Scottish Cup and Betfred Cup.
The English League One promotion pushers want to land the flying full-back.
It is understood that the offer is short of Saints’ valuation.
Rooney is now in the final year of his contract and has not agreed to an extension.
The 24-year-old moved from Inverness on freedom of contract last summer.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Max Kucheriavyi has signed a new three year deal at McDiarmid Park.
The 19-year-old defender is set to become part of Callum Davidson ’s first-team squad next season.
Kucheriavy said: "It's very reassuring, and also gives me confidence, to know that there is belief in me.
"I will now keep focusing on working hard on my game, listening and learning every day, and trying to develop and improve as much as I can."
