Shaun Dion Hamilton loves the latest Redskins’ Alabama addition with Ross Pierschbacher

It was starting to look shaky.

The 2019 NFL draft had made it through 150 picks and the Washington Redskins had stunningly not selected a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

But the Redskins changed that at No. 153 with offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher.

Among those most excited? Former Crimson Tide linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton.

“Oh, Ross, man. We came in together from high school,” Hamilton said, according to Redskins.com. “Really good player started four years at Alabama and not many guys can do that. He was All-American, All-SEC and all that so he’s going to be a great player for us…You never find guys to start for Nick Saban for four years, so he’s going to be a great player.”

At this point, the Redskins turning into an Alabama pro team is something of a running joke. Pierschbacher joins Hamilton, Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne and plenty of others as another member of the Crimson Tide to head for Washington.

And like the others, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if the latest Nick Saban-led prospect has a big impact for the Redskins.
