Sharon Stone announces baby nephew River has died in heartbreaking update

Sharon Stone has shared the heartbreaking news that her baby nephew has died.

Little River had been rushed to hospital after being found in his crib with "total organ failure".

She had shared an upsetting picture of him hooked up to machines and asked her fans to pray for him and said they needed a "miracle".

But now, the 11-month-old, who was also her godson, has tragically lost his life.

River was the youngest child of Sharon's brother Patrick and his wife Tasha, who live in Ohio with their three children.

Sharon, 63, said that the youngster had been found in his crib with "total organ failure" and that he was clinging to life in a coma.

Today, she confirmed the tragic news that he'd died by sharing a picture of him on her Instagram story.

Underneath were the words: "River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021".

She also shared a video montage of the little one with with Eric Clapton's Tears In Heaven playing over the top of it.

In the footage, the little boy laughed and played with his family, smiling for the camera.

Her fans and friends shared in her heartache.

Selma Blair told her: "I am so sorry. My lord."

Debra Messing commented: "Noooooooooooooo. I am in disbelief. Oh Sharon, there are no words, other than I’m so sorry for your whole family’s loss. I am praying for all of you at this unimaginable time."

While Hilary Swank told her: "I’m so sorry. Deep heartfelt prayers for your family."

And the star's fans told her they'd be praying for her and her family, telling her that they too were heartbroken.

Just a few days ago, Basic Instinct star Sharon wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of River: "Every parents worse nightmare is to see those children suffering and not being able to do something about it.

"Sending so much love and energy his ways. I hope he makes a full recovery soon and back in to his parents arms where he belongs."

Sharon was a proud aunt to River, and shared a picture of her sibling leaving the hospital with him when he was born last year.
