Sharon Osbourne has left fans stunned once again after being spotted out in Los Angeles, looking drastically slimmer and almost unrecognizable, just months after revealing she’s struggling with the effects of using the weight-loss drug Ozempic.
The 72-year-old TV star, who made her name as a no-nonsense judge on The X Factor and matriarch on The Osbournes, admitted last year that she lost a staggering 42lb after starting Ozempic back in December 2022. But what began as a seemingly successful transformation has taken a worrying turn, reported the Mirror.
She’s spoken quite openly about it over the past year, including during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother, and later during a candid chat with the Loose Women panel. Sharon admitted that she now finds it incredibly difficult to gain any weight at all, despite trying to eat more. “I can’t put on weight now, and I don’t know what it’s done to my metabolism,” she told Howie Mandel on his podcast. “I think I went too far.”
In an interview with The Guardian back in February, she revealed that she lost “three stone in four months,” which even she acknowledged was “too much.”
And now, her latest appearance has reignited the conversation. Paparazzi snapped her walking through a quiet street in LA this week, dressed in a roomy white sweatshirt and loose cream trousers. But despite the oversized outfit, her extremely slender frame was all too visible — and it’s sparked a fresh wave of concern online.
Social media has lit up with worried messages from fans. One person commented, “Severe unexplained weight loss is serious,” while another urged, “Sharon, we love you. Ozzy needs you. Stay safe.” One more added: “I like Sharon but dear God… it’s so sad. Hope she can turn it around before it’s too late.”
Sharon, who’s always been refreshingly frank, previously told Mail Online how frustrating it’s been trying to put the weight back on. “Now, I weigh just over 7st. I need to put on 10lb, but however much I eat, I stay the same weight… I’ve had enough.”
Despite all the concern, she’s stood by her decision. Speaking on Loose Women last year, she said: “I don’t regret it. Everything with weight with me was, ‘I want it now.’ The injections that I was on worked, but it just seems that now I can’t put anything on really.”
While some might admire her honesty and transformation, others are worried the price she’s paid for those results might be far too high.
