Sharon Osbourne reveals she turned down X Factor bosses for celebrity version of the show

Sharon Osbourne has done her time with The X Factor - and she's not looking back.

In a recent interview, Sharon, 66, claimed that the show's bosses had approached her to make a comeback, but she said no.

Sharon revealed to The Sun : "One of the producers asked me in May of this year, I was over in London and they asked me. I said, 'no, I just can't.'

"I was there when the show was amazing. It was just fantastic and I would like to leave it like that."

She judged the show from 2004 to 2007, then again in 2013 and after that in 2016.

Simon Cowell will return to judging duties, as will Louis Walsh and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger .

Sharon, who is married to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne , said of Louis: "Can you believe he's gone back?"

The celebrity edition of the singing competition will come to our screens in October this year, with names including Vinnie Jones and rugby player Ben Foden in the line up.

It wasn't just Louis who felt Sharon's sass, as she took aim at Simon's appearance.

"The teeth are too white again," she said bluntly of Simon's pearly whites.

Sharon continued: "He always gets these teeth that are too white and it takes a year or so for the colour to calm down.

"Otherwise I think he looks great. He's dropped weight and it's great for him.

"Much healthier for him. Not that he was big.

"But he just got rid of that tummy and chest."

Simon took the step of going vegan, and recently showed off his weight loss on the red carpet.

He fell down the stairs in the night two years ago, and doctors told him he needed to make a change.

They also told him to stop staying up till 8am and scoffing the jam tarts his personal chef whips up for him.
