Sharon Osbourne praises Adele's epic weight loss as she shares her own struggles

Sharon Osbourne has spoken about the issues of being an overweight Hollywood star and praised Adele for her slimming.

Last week, Adele celebrated her 32nd birthday by thanking key workers and showing off her figure after her weight loss.

Former X Factor judge Sharon, who has endured a lifelong battle with her weight, said: “I totally understand with Adele. It was her time to lose weight – that’s all in her journey and her life.

“She must have felt ‘you know what, I am going to try and lose weight’ for whatever reason – health I am sure. She looks absolutely fantastic.

“I am happy for her and everybody should be happy for her, because it was her choice. She didn’t do it for anybody else but herself.”

Sharon, 67, said larger women are not telling the truth when they say they’re comfortable in their bodies.

She said: “When these women say they are really happy in their body, I don’t believe them. My body was really, really big, but I wasn’t happy. Sure on the surface, but at night, in bed alone, I was very unhappy.”
