Sharon Osbourne looks glum as she's seen for first time since being replaced on The Talk

Sharon Osbourne looked downcast as she was spotted for the first time since being replaced on The Talk.

The 68-year-old former X Factor judge was papped in her car in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, looking exhausted after finding out Jerry O'Connell has taken her position on the chat show.

The news seems to have come as a shock to Sharon, as she appeared glum in her car.

Sharon looked worn out as she went completely make up free, staring off into the distance from her driver's seat.

The TV star stepped down from her role on the US talk show after she was slammed over her comments about race.

She has not publicly commented on her replacement.

It comes after the former co-host was blasted by viewers following an on-air row over Piers Morgan's comments about Meghan Markle after she claimed to Oprah Winfrey that she experienced racism in the royal family.

After her tense clash with her co-star Sheryl Underwood, Sharon was accused of racism and the chat show was taken off air to investigate the incident.

The aftermath saw Sharon leave the show after 11 years and she told Mail on Sunday the whole thing left her feeling "mentally beaten up".

She described how she had received death threats against her and her beloved dogs, while her kids were also abused in the aftermath of the falling out.

The incidents left Sharon needing to enhance her home security but she insists the events haven't scared her.

However, she said she was angry at feeling she was set up.

She also confessed that she doesn't want her legacy to be that she is racist.

"I mean, it's insane," she scoffed. "It's just not true."

Jeremy will be the first full-time male host to have joined the series.

Joining his fellow panelists Welteroth, Underwood, Amanda Kloots and Carrie Ann Inaba, he said on Wednesday: "You ladies have been so welcoming to me.

"I mean, I came here as a guest months ago, and just from the moment I walked in, you're just gracious, you're kind, you're fun, and it worked."
