Sharon Osbourne hits back at Sheryl Underwood for 'trying to destroy' her reputation

Sharon Osbourne isn't one to back down from a fight and that's exactly what Sheryl Underwood is finding out.

The pair clashed on-air in March over Sharon's defence of Piers Morgan following his comments about Meghan Markle.

The heated spat ultimately led to The Talk being shelved temporarily and Mrs O, 68, leaving the show after nearly 11 years.

But it's the discussion that has followed - or Sheryl's claim that there hasn't been one - that has riled Sharon once again.

On her personal podcast, the Sheryl, 57, claimed that her former co-host hadn't contacted her since their falling out.

Sharon claims she has "proof" that's simply not the case and has accused the American of "trying to destroy my reputation".

After sharing text messages appearing to be date stamped March 12, Sharon told the Daily Mail: "I not only sent these messages to Sheryl but I apologised to her in person in her dressing room."

She went on to ask what Sheryl was trying to do to her and said: "Why are you trying to destroy my reputation? Just be honest. Tell me."

The messages which look to have been sent two days after their on-air falling out claim to show Sharon apologising several times, including for losing her temper and telling Sheryl to f*** off.

She allegedly told her former co-star she considered her a "genuine friend" and didn't want to lose that friendship.

In a text dated March 15, Sharon appeared to reach out again, writing: "I'm just reaching out because I want you [to] know I'm thinking about you. If you are willing, can we talk before Wednesday? Big kiss."

A third text was supposedly sent on March 18 with Sharon "sending love".

Sharon's staunch defence came after Sheryl told her podcast listeners Sharon hadn't been in contact and that friends told her to be wary of Sharon before the pair began working together.
