Sharon Osbourne has defended herself after her onetime The Talk co-host Holly Robinson Peete claimed she got her fired for being "too ghetto".
After Sharon was this week slapped with allegations of defending racism for supporting her friend Piers Morgan, her onetime co-host on The Talk has claimed she once "complained that I was too ‘ghetto'" on the show.
Holly claimed Sharon was the reason behind her leaving the show in 2011.
But Sharon fired back denying she played any part in Holly's departure from the show.
She tweeted: "In response to Holly Robinson Peete’s accusation of me getting her fired from The Talk, I am sharing an e-mail sent to me from Holly one month after she was let go by CBS.
"As I have stated before, I have never had the ability/authority to get anyone fired from The Talk."
The host then added a follow-up tweet, writing: "An addendum to my previous Tweet. Never in my life did I utter the words that Holly was 'too ghetto' to be on the Talk, as well as not having her fired."
Sharon shared a screenshot of the email sent from Holly on September 19, 2011, which appears to show the pair on good terms.
It comes after Holly fumed: "I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too ‘ghetto’ for #theTalk…then I was gone.
"I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/ her co host who remained respectful because…she HAD TO.”
She then wrote a follow up tweet, writing: "I LOVED being on The Talk … but sometimes awesome gifts come in humiliating packages."

The clash comes after Sharon this week found herself in hot water after defending pal Piers Morgan over his comments about Meghan Markle, as he accused the former royal of lying about being suicidal during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Sharon found herself hit by a furious backlash for tweeting in support of the former Good Morning Britain presenter.

"@piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth," she tweeted.
Sharon later appeared on US chat show The Talk and ranted: "I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist.”

However, she later apologised for her comments and shared a statement on Twitter saying sorry if she offended anyone.
Sharon - who has been married to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne for almost 40 years - wrote: “I have always been embraced with so much love and support from the black community and I have deep respect and love for the black community.
“To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry.
“I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over.”
