KOCHI: The Kerala high court on Wednesday dismissed the bail plea of the mother and uncle of Greeshma, who are accused of destruction of evidence in Sharon murder case.
Justice Viju Abraham dismissed the bail application (9085/22) filed by 52-year-old Sindhu Savithri and 62-year-old Nirmala Kumaran Nair, who are natives of of Poomballikonam in Kanyakumari.
Prosecution had argued that the applicants should not be granted bails as there is strong evidence against them. Bails were sought by the accused by contending that the only allegation against them is that they destroyed evidence by removing the bottle containing the poisonous liquid.
They had claimed that they came to know about Greeshma’s relationship with Sharon only after his death and that their continued detention is not required as the investigation has reached its final stage.
