Sharon Corr has admitted she “hasn’t started dating” after her split from husband Gavin Bonnar last year.
The Corrs singer spoke to Maura and Daithí on The Today Show about her life during lockdown in Madrid, admitting she doesn’t know where to start when asked about her dating life.
She said: "I haven't been on the market for 23 years, I don't even know where to begin."
Corr shared her thoughts on Spanish men saying: "They're definitely very handsome. There is a lot of eye candy on the street.”
She has been living in Madrid for the past two years and shed light on the RTÉ show on how they’re feeling during lockdown, which she explained was very strict.
She said: "It was very severe here and we couldn't go out except to go out to the supermarkets with a mask and gloves on and police watching constantly.
"You had this feeling on the street that you were a criminal just to walk outside and I'm sure that wasn't the intention but that's kind of how you feel when you're a woman on your own confronted with policemen with guns and masks and you can't see their faces."
Although the lockdown in Madrid is strict, Corr isn’t letting it get to her and making sure she stays in contact with her family by the phone and social media.
She turned 50 during lockdown and her children helped her to celebrate at home.
She told Maura and Daithí: "My daughter made me a lovely birthday cake and cookies with 50 written on them just to remind me that I'm 50.
"And then we went on Houseparty with Caroline and Jim and Andrea.
"We had a sort of mini-celebration. I'm not one for a big celebration anyway."
