Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri has complained she can’t get her TV chef husband to do any cooking for her.
The singer said she is left to make meals while Bryn Williams concentrates on his restaurants.
The couple married in 2018 in Wales after being together for more than a decade and now live there.
Asked on the Tea With Twiggy podcast if she doesn’t have to cook, Sharleen, 53, said: “Are you joking? I wish that was the case.
“There was some programme on about losing weight and I have got to stop eating junk.
“I said to Bryn, ‘Now if I had my own chef’. Then I was like, wait a minute here, I’m actually married to a chef. I have my own chef so why am I doing all the cooking?”
Williams, 43, shot to fame in 2006 when he took on and beat the best chefs in the country to cook the fish course for the Queen’s 80th birthday on the BBC’s Great British Menu. Spiteri, who grew up in Glasgow and Balloch, near Dumbarton, has joked that she stalked her now husband for a year but he did not pick up the signals when she kept dropping into his Odette’s restaurant in London.
He eventually asked her out in 2007.
