Shareholders vote for Ayrshire giants to join new West of Scotland League and retain SJFA membership

Irvine Meadow plan to join a new West of Scotland League while retaining their SJFA membership after shareholders voted on the club's future.

The Ayrshire outfit today revealed the outcome of a vote on three options that will see West Region Junior clubs join the SFA pyramid system.

A total of 1538 votes were received for Option A -  joining the WoSL at tier six while retaining SJFA Membership so they can play in the Scottish Junior Cup.

Just 26 shareholders voted for Option C -  a straight dive into the WoSL membership as a new Senior side.

We reported last week how Kilwinning Rangers look set to turn down the chance to renew their SJFA membership as plans for a new West of Scotland League gather pace.
