The Beatles have released their “final” new song together, Now and Then. AI technology was used to isolate John Lennon’s vocals from an original demo which was handed to Paul McCartney in 1994. McCartney and Ringo Starr recorded new parts for it, while the late George Harrison features via guitar parts kept from a shelved 1995 session.

What do you think of the track? Is it a poignant swan song? A positive – or worrying – precedent about the use of AI to ensure posthumous longevity? You can listen to the song here and share your thoughts on it below.
