Ghosts. They don’t exist.

That doesn’t stop newspapers writing about them, or people being desperate to read about them. The traditional silly season may be more than a month away, but there have been a spate of ghost stories in recent weeks, from a geniune real ghost in this spooky mansion (it’s not really a ghost) to this haunting ghost floating along a corridor as spotted by a hospital worker (it’s not really a ghost).

Here at GuardianWitness, we are rational types. But we’re as fascinated as you are by strange apparitions and images that look a bit like they have a ghost in them but utterly and comprehensively do not.

So we’re opening this up to our community. If you’ve spotted a ghost (honestly, you haven’t), or even if you’ve just taken a photo that has a weird stain that looks like a vampire or something, share them with us by clicking on the blue button below, or on the sentence you are currently reading. We’ll post the most compelling in a gallery on the site.

WoooooOOOOOooooooo.
