Share your pictures as children return to lessons for our 'Back to School' special

There was a sigh of relief for families up and down the country as Boris Johnson announced we can send children back to school.

Many parents have been crossing off the days to March 8 after a long and difficult year of homeschooling and online learning.

Since lockdown was first announced on March 20 last year, most children have spent just a few months in the classroom.

But now more will be celebrating as their youngsters are heading back to the classroom, taught by qualified teachers and hanging out with friends in the playground.

To celebrate the momentous occasion we want to create a souvenir photo supplement in the Nottingham Post and we’ll also feature your photos on InYourArea.co.uk

If you'd like to be part of our Back To School At Last photos - click here to submit or fill in the form below.

Of course we're going to miss them dreadfully, but now it's time to dust off the backpacks, check the uniforms aren't three sizes too small and try to remember how to assemble a cheese and ham sandwich.

Don't forget to send us your back to school photos so we can all celebrate the big day together!

And breathe...
