Light in the Storm. 'Made from a fabric called Lutradur, which I have hand painted, then heat-treated with a heat gun, then machine stitched into it, so I suppose you'd called it textile art'

Oil portrait of George. 'This is my second attempt at a portrait of him, and I am now trying to resolve the background. I am not sure if I want to go darker to add contrast. Someone told me the cat was too black, but it's a black cat, after all. I also find it tedious to try and make the resemblance of someone you know well. It's the search for the person you know, not necessarily the person you see. I have redone the face a couple of times, and now I am letting it rest. He is actually more handsome'
