Share what makes you think of home when returning from holiday

After a trip away there are some sights that give a distinct feeling of 'home' when coming back to Manchester, and we want to hear which ones stand out to you.

It might be something that catches your eye when driving back on the motorway, or a sight visible from up in the air when flying back into Manchester Airport.

There are all kinds of landmarks dotted in and around the city that let us know that we're on the home stretch.

Some readers have shared their scenic landmarks, with one saying: " The beautiful green hills and Peel Tower," and another adding: " Knowl Hill overlooking Heywood."

Others also brought up aerial views, with someone saying: " Bowdon Church, or the communications tower next to the home of footballing excellence on Moss Lane. Both visible from incoming aircraft and the M56."

Multiple readers made reference to the weather, with one saying: " The M60 with a grey sky," and another also contributing: " The rain at Manchester Airport."

One reader mentioned the well known sight when coming back on the M62, saying: " House in the middle of motorway!"
