Shaquille O’Neal roasts Charles Barkley with a hilarious line during The Match

As if it wasn’t hard enough to play golf on national television, TNT brought the Inside The NBA crew on the air during The Match to heckle Charles Barkley as he set up for a putt.

During The Match, which pitted Barkley and partner Phil Mickelson against Peyton Manning and Steph Curry, each competitor wore headphones so they could hear and talk to the broadcast crew. As Barkley was receiving some guidance from Mickelson on an upcoming putt, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal did everything they could to try and mess up Barkley. This Shaq joke about reading greens was vicious.

“Chuck, if you can’t read words, how you going to read the greens?”

To his credit, Barkley played fairly well on Friday, hitting a few beautiful lag putts to set up Mickelson tap-ins, which allowed his team to build a sizable lead throughout the day.
