Shaq is back at it again with his absurd logic on paying less for gas

A couple of years ago on Inside the NBA the crew got into a bit of a heated debate…about gas.

Kenny was trying to figure out whether he wanted to buy this new car, but he also didn’t want to pay $80 dollars to fill up a gas tank. Shaq had a solution for him — fill it up when it gets to half for $20.

The only problem is that that doesn’t exactly make sense. First of all, if it takes $80 to fill up a tank it won’t be just a $20 fill up for half. Plus, he’d stop for gas more often and still end up spending $80. The crew tried to explain that to Shaq, but he wasn’t having it. Still, they tabled the discussion for later.

It looks like later is finally here. The crew debated it again on Thursday night’s episode of Inside the NBA.

“Ernie: Are really doing this again?

Shaq: Just listen here without judging me.

Ernie: That’s impossible. “

Whew buddy. Here was the breakdown.

“Shaq: Now, watch. From Atlanta to Orlando, right. Same trip. I’ve already paid the $80, right. When I get to half, that’s Valdosta [Georgia], right? I’m going to have $20.”

Ernie: You’re not filling it up, man.

Shaq: That’s my point. When I get to half, it’ll get it near to full. That’s going to bring me to Orlando. Now, when I leave Orlando, it’s going to be back to half. Put in another $40, I’ll be back home.”

Kenny: You’re 100% right. But then when you try to go to the grocery store, you’re not going to have gas. Then you’re going to have to put another $20 in, another $40 in to go to the grocery store.”

WHEW. What a conversation. Shaq’s math ain’t quite mathin. But this was definitely worth the laugh.
