Shaq got so frustrated with Ryan Hollins’ basketball takes on ESPN

The NBA season is over, and we’re still a few days away from the 2019 NBA Draft, which means it’s time for… another LeBron vs. Michael Jordan debate on daytime sports television.

Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal joined ESPN’s First Take on Tuesday, and his reactions to the polarizing opinions of former NBA player Ryan Hollins were priceless. Hollins and Shaq touched on the GOAT debate, a Lakers Mt. Rushmore, and even a hypothetical matchup between Steph Curry’s Warriors and Michael Jordan’s Bulls.

Shaq: “You said LeBron James is the greatest player ever? What about Michael and Kobe? So you’re just going to pass Kobe up like that?”

Hollins: “I’m going to pass Kobe up, I’m going to look at Michael.”

As Hollins continued, Shaq grabbed Hollins’ First Take mug and sniffed it, joking “oh I knew it, Patron, America.”

After Hollins said that Kobe and Jordan would not be able to fill LeBron’s shoes, Shaq nearly put his head on the desk, and asked if host Molly Qerim would be mad if he walked off the show.

Hollins then makes the claim that a healthy Golden State Warriors team would “run laps” around Michael Jordan’s Bulls squad, regardless of the era and ruleset.

“Whoever’s paying him to say all this stuff, I will pay you double to stop it.”
