Shaq Barrett posts goodbye message to Broncos fans, teammates on Instagram

After signing a one-year, $5 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, outside linebacker Shaq Barrett posted a farewell message to Denver Broncos fans and his ex-teammates on his Instagram page:

I knew this day was coming and it’s still hard to say bye. Imma miss everybody the fans my teammates my friends and my brothers. I learned so much here, and am grateful to everyone who helped me on my journey. Denver will always be home to me and my family. Thanks for all the great times and the not so great times. I cherish it all. SB50 parade was surreal and can’t wait to start pursuing another one with the Bucs. Hold it down fellas 🧡💙🧡💙

Barrett joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State in 2014. After spending most of his rookie season on the practice squad, Barrett emerged as a key rotational pass rusher in 2015.

During his five years with the Broncos, Barrett totaled 151 tackles and 14 sacks. He will compete for a starting job in Tampa Bay.
