We got ourselves a great Inside the NBA moment on Tuesday that, for once, had nothing to do with Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
Ernie Johnson was, as usual, doing his terrific hosting duties and introducing the halftime report during Game 5 of Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat series that eventually ended with the Bucks being eliminated.
While the sounds of Rick Ross were being played, Shaq immediately quizzed Johnson: “I bet you don’t know who that is, Ernie.”
He did immediately, and his answer was spectacular, sending everyone on set into laughter, but with respect to Johnson for knowing it:
This then became a thing throughout the broadcast. He nailed it with Travis Scott:
