'Shape of things to come' - Tottenham fans love what Jose Mourinho has done for Chelsea clash

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to Jose Mourinho's latest team selection for their crucial match with Chelsea.

Spurs go into the game in second-place in the Premier League, and will climb back above Liverpool if they manage to avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho - who returns to the club where he won three Premier League titles - has picked his side to try and make a real statement on Sunday afternoon.

The Spurs side to face Chelsea is as follows: Hugo Lloris, Serge Aurier, Joe Rodon, Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele, Steven Bergwijn, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

Spurs loving training

Gareth Bale starts on the bench for the visitors, as does Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius.

Spurs fans seem to be pretty happy with Rodon's inclusion in the side - with the former Swansea City centre-back making his first top-flight start for his new club.

Defender Toby Alderweireld is expected to be sidelined for a month after picking up an injury in the win against Manchester City last weekend.

This is a big chance for Rodon now, who could look to cement his place in Mourinho's plans alongside Dier, with Alderweireld not available for the majority of the Christmas schedule, it seems.

Spurs fans have been reacting to the latest team news on Twitter - with Rodon's inclusion in the side being the main focus.

Tottenham centre-back Dier was very complimentary when speaking about Rodon last weekend, following the injury to Alderweireld.

Dier said: "It's difficult as we haven't really spent a lot of time together since he arrived. From what I can see, he's very humble, very hard-working. From what I can see he has a fantastic mentality to want to work, to improve.

"From what I've seen [of him] around the training ground, all of those things have been fantastic, and I know the Welsh boys Ben and Gareth speak very highly of him. So excited for him to be able to help the team."
