It sounds like the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to get a deal done this week and trade wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to reports. But before we all just assume things will be fine wherever he lands, listen to what FS1’s Shannon Sharpe has to say about the matter because he speaks the truth.
Sharpe offered the insight all Steelers fans understand. Teams who trade for Brown are inviting all the drama and baggage he brings in his helicopter or Rolls Royce. And aside from Pittsburgh, the New England Patriots might be the only other team in the league who is equipped to deal with Brown.
There’s a real possibility the Steelers end up trading Brown to a team with a very young and potentially inexperienced quarterback and/or coach. This feels like a recipe for disaster, but as we know, every NFL team has this sort of collective ego where it thinks it can control any player. But Brown’s next team might not be prepared for what he is going to bring.
