Shannon Sharpe announces that he's also joining forces with Colin Cowherd

Shannon Sharpe is finding different homes for himself in order to make it back into the sports media space in time for football season.

The former debate show partner of Skip Bayless on FS1’s “Undisputed” hopped on a video with Cowherd on Aug. 23 to announce that he’s partnering with him. And according to Front Office Sports, the two are bringing together Sharpe's Shay Shay Media and Cowherd's The Volume.

Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast will now be a part of the growing podcast network of The Volume, which includes “The Draymond Green Show” and “The Richard Sherman Podcast.”

DON’T MISS: Stephen A. Smith pushed back on report that Shannon Sharpe is joining ESPN’s “First Take”

“We’re in business together bro,” Sharpe told Cowherd.

The details of the partnership have yet to be announced, but Front Office Sports reports that Sharpe's Shay Shay Media will jointly produce the shows alongside The Volume.

Cowherd seemed ecstatic to land the former NFL star, citing admiration for Sharpe’s ability to transition from professional athlete to media member and still give a lot of dedication to his new craft.

“I feel like I landed Peyton Manning in Denver,” Cowherd said.

Sharpe said he “listened to everybody,” likely alluding to other suitors who were pulling for his services and the podcast, but said the “partnership” is what pulled him to working with his former colleague at Fox (FOX) -).

“The thing that really sold me was the partnership,” Sharpe said. “Throughout this process, everybody that was involved with The Volume always said, ‘We’re a partnership, we’re going to build you.’”

More Sports Media:

It’s also unlikely that this deal will affect Sharpe’s ability to return to the TV screens as a debate show host. The New York Post reported last week that Sharpe is reportedly set to join Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s “First Take,” -- though Smith said that nothing has been made official yet -- and that report indicated that Sharpe was still looking for a place to bring his podcast.
