Police in Mississippi have released a note they say Dr Shannon Lamb left at his Gautier home on Monday.
The Associated Press reported that the note reads: “I am so very sorry I wish I could take it back I loved Amy and she is the only person who ever loved me.”
Gautier Police said that Dr Lamb, 45, called them around 10am on Monday and told them someone had been shot and killed.
Dr Lamb is accused of killing Amy Prentiss, 41, and Don Allan Mitchell, a 39-year-old Delta State University professor, before eventually taking his own life on Monday night.
