Shankill Road: Man in his 60s in 'critical condition' following incident outside licensed premises

A man in his 60s remains in a 'critical condition' in hospital after an incident in Belfast on Friday.

He sustained injuries outside a licensed premises on the Shankill Road on Friday night, with the incident being reported to police just after 3.15am on Saturday, February 5.

Police are appealing for information to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Detective Sergeant Dougherty said: "We received a report just after 3.15am on Saturday (5th February) that a man, aged in his 60s, had sustained injuries outside a licensed premises on the Shankill Road sometime on Friday night.

"The man attended hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist our investigation to please get in touch. If you have dash cam footage please call 101 quoting reference number 225 05/02/22."
