Shane Warne believes England should give Liam Livingstone his Test debut in the fourth Test against India at The Oval if Jos Buttler misses the remainder of the series.
Buttler's wife, Louise, is due to give birth to their second child next month and he could miss the final two Tests as a result.
England captain Joe Root revealed earlier this week that Buttler's availability will be "cleared up in the next couple of days" and the Daily Mail are reporting that the wicketkeeper 'looks set to miss the rest of England's summer'.
If Buttler does not play at The Oval, Jonny Bairstow is expected to keep wicket, opening up a spot for England to play an extra batter.

And Warne believes Livingstone should get that spot, given his excellent form in white-ball cricket this year.
Livingstone has scored 190 runs at an average of 47.50 in T20 cricket for England this year and he was recently named MVP in The Hundred.
However, the 28-year-old has not played first-class cricket in almost two months and averages just 10.83 in the County Championship this year.
Livingstone's career average in first-class cricket is a much more impressive 38.69 and Warne believes the fact that he is "in unbelievable touch" means it could be time for England to "play 'The Beast'".
Speaking on Sky Sports, Warne said: "If Buttler does go to be with his wife, is there any chance Livingstone could come in to the Test side?
"He averages 40 in first-class cricket, he's in unbelievable touch, playing on a flat wicket at The Oval, I just think it might be time that he comes in and [England] play 'The Beast'!"

Warne also believes that Sam Curran could be dropped for the next Test, with the 23-year-old taking just three wickets and scoring just 74 runs in the series so far.
"I don't think Sam Curran plays," he said. "Being your fourth seamer, batting at No 8 - hasn't scored a hundred, hasn't taken a five-for in Test cricket.
"I know he's a very good cricketer but I don't know what he's in the team for, he's a bit 'bits and piece-y' for me for Test cricket.
"So I'd like to see something more specific, whether that is a Mahmood, a Wood, or a spinner. If you get to The Oval and you think it's going to turn, then maybe Jack Leach or [Matt] Parkinson, something like that.
"If it is just normal, then [Craig] Overton can bat and catch in the slips as well so he's your bowler who can add some lower-order runs, [Ollie] Robinson can bat as well. So Curran out and either another spin or a fast bowler in."
