Shane Richie thought he needed a doctor after stomach-churning I'm A Celeb trial

I'm A Celebrity star Shane Richie has admitted he thought he needed medical attention after suffering an upset stomach following a vile drinking trial.

The EastEnders legend chugged down some truly vile blended animal parts during the trial with Jess Plummer and how now explained that it directly led to him shifting nearly a stone.

Chatting to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning, Shane shared: "I lost the weight because after I did the drinking challenge, 12 hours later I was really ill.

"Thankfully they didn't show it on telly because I didn't want my family getting upset. But I thought I was gonna have to see a doctor, I had a few tablets, and I had a dodgy stomach.

"So that's kind of where I lost my weight, and after a while everyone's going 'Shane, how can we catch that bug off you?'

"So people are trying to hug me to catch this bug I had."

Among the things Shane chugged down were an Eggs-Spresso of blended fermented duck eggs, a Gore Berry Smoothie of blended sheep's testicle and Zin Fanny Del of blended pig's vagina.

Keeping things positive, he told Holly: "I've come back and dropped two dress sizes, which is great!"

"Just in time for Christmas!" Holly joked.

The disgusting trial even saw Jess throw up after they pair had secured all the stars.

The stars' weight loss has proved a topic for discussion after Vernon Kay shed a staggering two and a half stone during his stint in the castle.

Vernon's wife Tess Daly has told fans that she's been "feeding him up" since the show.

And runner-up Jordan North made headlines when he unveiled his new six pack to the campmates.

Jordan appeared on Radio 1 this morning to chat with colleague and close pal Greg James.

As one of the biggest break-out stars of the series, Jordan shared that he was on the brink of walking from the show before he and Shane took on Viper Vault.

The challenge saw them locked underground with 30 snakes for company.

"What you didn't see is that it took me an hour to get into that coffin," he shared.

"I wouldn't have done that trial if it weren't for Dec. I went off in a blind panic, thinking I couldn't do it.

"Dec was just like, 'Breathe.'"

Jordan told that the co-host managed to calm him, convincing him to do the trial - in which he and Shane earned all ten stars for camp.

"I can't remember saying this," he laughed, "but apparently I told Shane his breath stinks."
