Shane Richie fans were distracted as the actor wished his son a happy birthday with a sweet post on social media.
Eastenders star Shane, 58, posted a photo of himself and his son eldest son Shane Nolan. The pair are seen smiling with Shane junior wearing a cream hoodie and Shane donning a grey jumper and a flat cap.
Shane shares two sons with singer and Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan, and three children with his wife, Christie Goddard. He captioned the post with a humorous message, writing: "Happy B’day to this geezer @iamshanenolan.
"34 today which unkindly reminds me that when I became a father at 16 it was a tough gig ! Hey ya big ray of sunshine love ya loads man [red heart emoji] dad ( maybe ) [laughing face emoji]."
Fans rushed to wish Shane junior well on his special day. @paulahilton91 said: "Happy birthday. Have a great day and night xxxxx" while @vamptracey added: "Happy birthday Shane hope you have a wonderful day".
People couldn't help but point out the same thing - how alike the pair looked. @pennyinspain2004 commented: "Happy Birthday Shane enjoy celebrating. Spitting image of your Awesome Dad" as @joycelidgett echoed: "Happy birthday double of each other".
@manley8892, referring to the Eastenders star's DNA quip, commented: "Don’t think you could deny that one Shane, spitting image" as @loupejewelleryuk added: "Peas in a pod".
This summer, Shane junior tied the knot with his long-term partner. He and Maddie Wahdan said 'I do' at a lavish ceremony at Rushton Hall in Kettering in July.
The whole family was in attendance, including Jake and Coleen's daughter Ciara Fensome.
